The Tuxedo Park Library has invested a lot of time and effort in its annual fundraiser Memorial Day Community Picnic.
And the Tuxedo community has responded, helping to make the day’s festivities a popular hit – compete with talent show and picnic. Now, if those threatening Monday showers will co-operate. Rain or shine things take place at the Tuxedo Park Library on Route 17 in the middle of Tuxedo, and directly across from the Tuxedo Post Office and Train Station.
Things get underway Monday, May 30, when the annual Tuxedo Memorial Day parade moves through the center of town down Route 17 in front of the library. For those seniors and others who might need a little shelter, the library has set up a pop-up tent complete with chairs.
The 13th Annual Memorial Day Community Picnic begins at 12 p.m. and runs through 3 p.m. and will include a whole host of engaging entertainment, food from local vendors, games, and fun for the whole family.
Look for one of New York’s coolest traveling magic men, Mario the Magician, to entertain at 12:30 p.m.
The popular community-wide talent contest, Tuxedo’s Got Talent, gets going at at 1:30pm, and will include raffle drawings for a variety of locally donated prizes. Raffles start at 2:30 p.m.
The picnic is a fundraising effort that contributes to the Tuxedo Park Library’s programming. For more information on attending this event, please contact the Tuxedo Park Library at 845-351-2207.
