More than just school kicks off in September across the Hudson Valley. The change in season also starts a colorful parade of local events and festivals, including in and around the Village of Sloatsburg and Route 17 corridor communities.

With the upcoming weekend showcasing the 8th Annual Bluegrass Festival at Harmony Hall, the Tuxedo Hudson Company announced that on both Saturday and Sunday, September 9 and 10, it will re-open the Blue Barn Farm Market from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and preview its new bike shop, food truck, and Valley Rock Inn.

The preview opening will include tours of recently renovated historic homes. The public is invited.

The preview opening also dovetails with the 8th Annual Bluegrass Festival, put together by the Friends of Harmony Hall and planned as a big-tent event that highlights not only Sloatsburg but the surrounding area. This year the Bluegrass Festival signed Rockland County Tourism as a sponsor, which has helped promote the music festival throughout the Hudson Valley and north New Jersey.

Parking is provided both onsite and at the Sloatsburg Commuter Lot for the Blue Barn Farm Market and Valley Rock Inn. Find a direct entrance to the Market, Bike Shop, and Valley Rock Inn along Mill Street to the back of the property.
