Heading into the upcoming Memorial Day weekend, Sloatsburg has a full schedule. Tuesday kicks things off with the 16th Annual Recognition of Graduating Seniors for the Class of 2016. Tuesday evening, starting at 7:30 p.m.
The program takes place at Sloatsburg Village Hall and is a popular and traditional send-off for local high school seniors, many of whom started school just down the road as students at Sloatsburg Elementary School.
Tuesday evening’s Village Hall celebration includes guest speakers, music and refreshments.
Fourth Grade Historical Tour and Elementary Art Show
Last week’s annual Fourth Grade History Tour of Sloatsburg saw students trek through the village visiting sites such as the Sloatsburg United Methodist Chapel, Sloat House & Inn, the Sloats Dam and Brown’s Gate, and the Jacob Sloat House.

The tour was capped by Visitors Day, where community members discussed local history and how it’s importance in shaping the Sloatsburg community.
