This weekend marks the official change of season. So, that means the holidays in all their many manifestations are close upon us.
One corner shop in Tuxedo is celebrating its one-year anniversary and wants to spread the good cheer. Whether you’re heading out to the Rennaissance Faire up in Sterling Forest or wandering down the booths of the Tuxedo Farmers’ Market this Saturday, visit BackHome Antiques. The store with the red door looks small from the outside but once inside, the store sprawls with two stories of antique, collectibles and interested items.
This weekend, BackHome will be offering sales and savings on any number of items. The whole celebration culminates in a day-long fiesta of savings and celebration of its customers on Sunday, September 22, from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. BackHome will be offering special savings both Saturday and Sunday.
Founded by Sloatsburgers Stephen Hoefer and Darrel Frasier, BackHome is an interesting Tuxedo must-stop that offers two floors to wander and discover any number of objects. Just when you think you have it covered, there’s a steep staircase at the back of the store that leads down to a whole other area to explore. The store is located along Rt. 17 across from the Tuxedo Train Station.
Frasier was recently appointed as trustee to the Sloatsburg Public Library.
Make an effort to get out this weekend. Saturday’s Tuxedo Farmers’ Market will feature the Pat Jones and Jim Jospe Duo from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Tuxedo Train Station to put a little twang in your morning stroll. Above and beyond the fresh vegetables, Saturday’s market will see an appearance of crafts by Scrabble Tile Jewelry and Knitswiss. Mark your calendar. Wander down to the Farmers’ Market and then get lost at BackHome Antiques.
Or just go Sunday afternoon during the official celebration and see some familiar and friendly faces.
During the one year celebration this weekend, BackHome Antiques will be offering 10% off all merchandise, with 25% off of select items.
