The staff at the Sloatsburg Public Library has been busy cooking up a calendar of events that serves the local community, from children’s crafts to making chocolate treats and any number of holiday-related activities.
The Library is focused on providing patrons with resources and tools to extend learning and community participation, whether through a same-day licensing class, homework help or how to sell on Ebay workshop.
Wednesday afternoon the Library will feature a Felt Owl children’s craft class, perfect for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday. The class begins at 4 p.m.
And Joe Rutella will lead a 7 p.m. cooking class on how to whip up a simple chocolate treat. Participants will find out how to make tasty and visually pleasing chocolates sure to be the hit of any dinner.
Patrons can sign up for either class simply by calling the Sloatsburg Library at 845-753-2001.
Thursday evening Rick Feingold will wow participants on eBay selling strategies. If you have a number of collectibles you’d like to sell or other items of interest, Feingold will help you focus and teach important tips how to successfully sell from start to finish.
Also, mark your calendar for the upcoming Friends of the Sloatsburg Library Holiday Craft & Vendor Fair, Saturday December 6, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. The Holiday Fair is a great opportunity to shop local crafts and handmade goods.
The Friends are still looking for a few key vendors — interested? Applications are still being accepted for tables at this event, just email lderuggiero@rcls.org for details.
