The Suffern Fire Department fought a fierce house fire Friday, assisted by mutual aid from surrounding fire departments. The blaze at Bridge Street is still under investigation, according to the Suffern Poice Department.
The Friday night Bridge Street fire in Suffern saw a house go up in flames while many area fire departments responded in mutual aid. The Suffern Police Department responded within a minute of the emergency 911 call that came in around 9:40 p.m. — but when police officers arrived, the house was already burning, with heavy flames coming from the top floor.
