If you’re looking for something to do in Sloatsburg, well, the folks at Seven Lakes Station have cooked up something special. It was only three years ago that the craft beer taproom opened in the center village, then just a one room beer bar.
Seven Lakes immediately hit a sweet spot with customers and owners Martijn and Jamie ramped up the experience. First the couple expanded the taproom to include more seating inside, and then built a back outdoor beer garden. Now Seven Lakes Station has grown from single room craft beer taproom to expansive bistro with outdoor dining and live music.
This August, Seven Lakes Station opened its new kitchen to serve up a bistro-style menu that includes Grass Fed Burger and Belgian Fries, Belgian Mussels, steak and grilled chicken sandwiches, vegetarian and vegan items, a Garden Salad, and new appetizers and other snacks.
The rise of Seven Lakes Station, along with the recent addition of The Village Blend coffee cafe, has been pivotal in helping to establish the village center as a welcome place to visit, eat, hang.
With Village Walk slowly taking shape, which takes pedestrians from the Sloatsburg Commuter Lot to Route 17, Sloatsburg’s center village is creating more reasons to visit. The quartet of establishments, including Seven Lakes Station, The Village Blend, Valley Rock Inn & Mountain Club, and Character’s Bar and Restaurant, offer diverse fare and experiences for any and all visitors.
