Get back on your career track. Beginning in March, the Sloatsburg Public Library will offer a free job search assistance program consisting of one-on-one career coaching sessions.
The program is targeted to the needs of today’s job hunter – career changers, people who have recently been laid off, stay-at-home moms and dads looking to return to the workforce, and new graduates seeking their first job.
During one-on-one career coaching sessions, job seekers will get individualized assistance from a career coach who can assist them in whatever challenges they are facing in navigating the job search process. This includes writing or updating their resumes and cover letters, applying for jobs online, exploring career options, or answering difficult interview questions.
This program is underwritten by the Ramapo Catskill Library System and features Career Coach and Resume Writer Gregg Knowles.
“We are pleased to be supporting our libraries by funding this program,” said Robert Hubsher, Executive Director of the Ramapo Catskill Library System, about RCLS’s support of the career program. “It’s a great benefit to the communities we serve.”
The cost of career coaching averages $161 per hour, so the Sloatsburg Library program offers real value and is free to those that sign up.
One-on-one coaching sessions will be held on the following dates:
Saturday, March 26 (10:30 AM-1:30 PM)
Thursday, April 7 (5:00-8:00 PM)
Saturday, May 14 (10:30 AM-1:30 PM)
Tuesday, June 7 (5:00-8:00 PM)
Each individual meeting will last one hour. Participants will meet with Gregg Knowles, Career Coach and Resume Writer. Gregg has over 25 years of experience in human resources.
