The rains and jarring thunder appear to have blown away for the weekend. So, get out and shop at your local farmers’ market this Saturday.
The choices of colorful markets to shop for fresh include either the Tuxedo Farmers’ Market open down at the Tuxedo Train Station parking lot or the Suffern Farmers’ Market that sets up shop in the Commuter Lot at the end of Lafayette at the railroad tracks.
Both markets have all those great fresh goods you might be looking for on a sunny Saturday stroll. Tuxedo will be open all day until 2 p.m. Suffern goes until 1 p.m.
Suffern features down home cooking from Sloatsburg’s own Auntie El’s, as well as tasty wine from Whitecliff Winery and fresh peaches from Pennings Orchards. From 11 p.m. through noon Matty Roxx will entertain the kids with some amusing acoustic doodlings.
Up at Tuxedo, get your knives sharp and cutting ready by Precision Knife. Special guest vendor will be Heavenly Mist Body Spray. Ed Packer will provide tunes. And, as always, you can get fresh vegetables such as tomatoes to make up a fine hot fresh salsa mix.
So, if you’re heading into Suffern Saturday morning, take in the Suffern Farmers’ Market, Or head up to Tuxedo for a fresh cup of joe, take in the market and stop off at BackHome Antiques across the street to say hi to Sunny.
