Rockland Peak Performance under co-owner Nunzio Signore’s leadership has become a powerhouse in the strength and conditioning field. RPP, located at the south entrance of Sloatsburg, NY, just added 4,500 square feet of space.
Nunzio Signore is building quite a strength and conditioning sports performance facility just outside Sloatsburg along Route 17. Since Signore got Rockland Peak Performance rolling in 2012, the facility has become a beacon for team and individual fitness training. Continue Reading

The idea of a viable trail town experience in Rockland County came to life this summer with colorful New Jersey Transit train posters promoting park adventure.
The wooden bridge in the woods photo featured on the jazzy posters was donated to the cause by local Suffern photographer Michael Malandra.
Rockland County Tourism’s Lucy Redzeposki collaborated with the Suffern Chamber of Commerce and Alexandria Evans of Explore Harriman on the project, which sought to promote Rockland’s profile as a park destination. The Blue Barn Market in Sloatsburg has been open weekends and will soon close for the season, scheduled to open again in the spring or summer 2017.
When all is said and done, Michael Bruno has already made a material difference in the Village of Sloatsburg. He bought a few properties and opened a quaint farm stand, sure. But he has also offered a picture of a kind of future for Sloatsburg as a destination for hikers and bikers, where people from New York and throughout the Hudson Valley visit the village and stay a moment — instead of speeding through while glancing at boarded up buildings.
