Valley Rock Inn & Market will host a Festival of Lights celebration in Sloatsburg on Saturday and Sunday, December 9 and 10.

The long abandoned Sloatsburg post office along Route 17 is in the process of a revival as Valley Rock Inn & Market has moved in to fix the building up.
Valley Rock Inn hosts an antique and home sale at the old Sloatsburg post office on Saturday and Sunday, November 18 and 19, from 10am to 4pm, with proceeds to benefit the Tuxedo Park Library.
The building is composed of two main stores fronts that Valley Rock has taken over, complete with VRI signature decorative hedges along the back parking lot. The old post office will soon house a fitness center with weight room and cardio room that will also offer spin and yoga classes. Continue Reading

The Sloatsburg Chamber of Commerce hosted an early November weekend big tent event to introduce members to the community.
Sloatsburgers and more showed up for the Big Tent event held this past Sunday, November 5, at Valley Rock Inn. Even with the misty weather that threatened rain, the Sloatsburg Chamber of Commerce-sponsored community meet- and-greet was a successful reboot for the organization. Continue Reading

Held just before countywide elections took place, Harmony Hall in Sloatsburg, NY, hosted an event that included two of Rockland County’s leading women politicians, who attended to talk shop and the history of women voting to the Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson Council. Rockland County Legislator Harriet Cornell and Assemblywoman Ellen Jaffee were on hand Saturday, November 4, at the Jacob Sloat House to honor those Girl Scouts who earned their Centennial of Women’s Suffrage in New York Girl Scout Patch. The 32nd Annual Sloatsburg Halloween Parade got started down Route 17 from the Community Fields, led by the Ramapo Police Department.
The Village of Sloatsburg once again had an enthusiastic turn out for its 32nd annual Halloween Parade. The march and community walk down Route 17 took place this past Saturday, October 28, just before the Sunday rain set in.
