Cap off the nice weekend weather with a stroll down Lafayette Avenue in Suffern Sunday, June 2, during the second in a series of Street Fairs.
“We’re calling it the New Suffern Street Fair because we were getting feedback that the fair was getting a bit stale,” explained Greater Suffern Chamber of Commerce President Suzanne Daycock. “We’re working hard to freshen things up a bit in an effort to attract visitors to the area and to its business community. Paul Paulson remembers Amy Clifford with a happy face, having fun and enjoying last June’s Classic Car Show at Sloatsburg Community Field that was put on for her benefit.

The Celebration of Miss Anna Kovaly’s 100th Birthday
Retired Colonel in the US Army and West Point graduate Laureen (Lorrie) Barone had not expected to speak, but was overcome with the public outpouring of affection for her former second grade teacher, Miss Anna Kovaly.

The little Saltbox House down in Torne Valley has helped do a few mighty deeds. One in particular has taken place this spring when the Ford Motor Co. came to Torne Valley to do paint sludge cleanup.
