Rocco’s Shoe Repair has been on Lafayette Avenue, Suffern’s Main Street, since 1952. Owner Dominick Ferrara can be found most days in the narrow store surrounded by leather shoes, some repaired, others waiting their turn. Continue Reading

Edith and Henry Knoblick are longtime Sloatsburg residents who invested heavily in revitalizing Sloatsburg’s village center. Back in 2013 the couple purchased the old Waldron property directly across from the Sloatsburg Library with a vision that it could again serve as an important part of life and help spark some downtown renewal. Young family with close Sloatsburg connection experiences sudden loss

Chris Stritmater suddenly lost his wife Heather this past Sunday. Heather Clark Stritmater leaves behind a daughter and two sons.

Chris Stritmater grew up in Sloatsburg in the Pine Grove neighborhood and now lives with his young family in Stony Point. His wife is from West Haverstraw.

Michael Bruno’s new Tuxedo Hudson Company kicked off a billboard promotion campaign along the Tuxedo/Sloatsburg corridor, announcing that something is coming this way soon. 

The splashy billboards were just raised along Route 17 with a ‘Coming Soon’ message, but the Tuxedo Hudson Company has already made a local impact in Tuxedo and Sloatsburg.
