The Sloatsburg United Methodist Church welcomes the Walter Hoving Home Choir from Garrison, NY, this Sunday, February 12 at 10:30 a.m.
“We invite all who are seeking a different worship experience to join us on Sunday,” said Pastor Agnes, who leads the Sloatsburg congregation. “We know that you will be uplifted by the beautiful music provided. The testimonies that a few of these ladies will share with us promise to be inspiring, as well as informative.”
“Despite great pain and terrible experiences, there is redeeming grace as evidenced by their music ministry,” said Pastor Agnes, who leads the Sloatsburg UM Church.
The choir will share songs and stories with the congregation and are renowned across the country for their spirited performances. Walter Hoving was a one-time owner of Tiffany’s who channeled his income into the Walter Hoving Home, headquartered Garrison, NY. A non-profit, faith-based rehabilitation center, the home serves women 18 years and older who have been involved in drug addiction, alcoholism, prostitution and other life-controlling problems. The Walter Hoving Home Choir is composed of approximately 20 members, all residents of the Hoving Home.
“This is a rare opportunity to be blessed by those who reveal that despite great pain and terrible experiences, there is redeeming grace as evidenced by their music ministry,” said Pastor Agnes.
