The long rumored sewer project for Pine Grove Lakes in Sloatsburg is winding its way to an actual starting time.

A public meeting will take place on Wednesday, January 22, at 7 p.m. at the Sloatsburg Fire Hall that will discuss the planned construction phase of the Western Ramapo Sewer Extension Project related to Pine Grove Lakes.

The public information meeting will assist residents in planning for the sewer project that is projected to begin in the hilly Sloatsburg neighborhood sometime in 2014, possibly in the fall. More detailed information will be provided at the public meeting.

The Western Ramapo Sewer Extension Project is joint effort between the Rockland County Sewer District, Rockland County and the Town of Ramapo.
