Raise your glass to Charles Dickens, the master storyteller and chronicler of a Scroogian Christmas.
The folk rock harmonies of The Levins, composed of the duo Ira and Julia, will bring their tales of Charles Dickens to the Sloatsburg Public Library on Tuesday, December 17, at 6 p.m. The Levins will celebrate the works of Charles Dickens in song, performing original and showcases many of the authors most famous works — Dickens is associated with the birth of Victorian Christmas through his very influential story, A Christmas Carol.
The Levins have been touring the Hudson Valley recently and will bring their all-ages show to Sloatsburg Tuesday. A festive, participatory celebration of Dickens’ novels through music and storytelling, the evening is a great opportunity to visit one of the the library’s many community-based events.
Come out and settle in for a warm evening by the hearth for some music and fun.
