For many years now, the Sloatsburg Public Library’s bread and butter has been welcoming patrons into the library’s building, the historic former St. Francis Episcopal Church in the village center along Route 17. The Sloatsburg Food Pantry has quietly operated in the United Methodist Chapel along Route 17, serving the greater community week in and week out. A Sloatsburg municipal volunteer crew gave away some 1000 masks on May 1st at Village Hall. Members of the community drove up on a first come basis for a quick grab and go to receive a package of sealed, washable face masks. Continue Reading
