Winterfest is coming to Village Walk in Sloatsburg Saturday

Enjoy a festive afternoon in Sloatsburg this Saturday, December 1, when Winterfest gathers at Village Walk at Mill Street. The holiday-themed, Sloatsburg Chamber-sponsored event will have vendors aplenty, kid-friendly crafts, heaters to warm you, and lots more. From 1 – 6 p.m. – parking at the Commuter Lot, 27 Mill Street.

Winterfest is coming to Sloatsburg Saturday. The holiday event should be a fun, festive afternoon along the newly stamped Village Walk, a slice of pedestrian corridor that runs from the Commuter Lot to Route 17 at The Village Blend. Continue Reading

Village News and Update on Route 17 Sewer Construction

Brook Street Park in the Village of Sloatsburg is currently undergoing an extensive improvement project — the park will be completely updated. It will see new slides, play areas, pathways, and more.

The wet, rainy weather has not been a big help in staying on a seasonal timeline to renovate Brook Street Park. But the comprehensive renewal project is underway and more than halfway completed. The Sloatsburg Highway and Public Works Department has provided tear-down assistance on the project. The Brook Street Park renovation will include all new surfacing, playground sets, an updated tiny tot area, and was voted on by the Village of Sloatsburg Board in April 2018. The entire project was budgeted and bonded at $289,000.
