Veterans Get Holiday Helping Hand in Sloatsburg

Local veterans and those who served in the armed forces will once again get some holiday help with a Christmas food giveaway at Sloatsburg Municipal Building on Saturday, December 19, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Local veterans and those who served in the armed forces will once again get a holiday give with a Christmas turkey and food basket at Sloatsburg Municipal Building on Saturday, December 19, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The Village of Sloatsburg will again join with the Veteran Angels Association to support veterans this holiday season. Sloatsburg’s and other veterans will receive holiday foods Saturday morning, December 19, from 9 a.m. through 11 a.m. at the Sloatsburg Municipal Building. It was disclosed in November 2015 that Pilgrim Transportation of New York, Inc. had filed an application for permits to use the Right of Way for the New York State Thruway Authority as the main New York route for two proposed pipelines to run from Albany to Linden, New Jersey. Continue Reading

Executive Director of the Rockland County Drainage Agency Vincent Altieri is sworn in by Ernest S. Buonocore as Acting Village Justice during Monday’s special Suffern Village Board meeting. The Rockland County Republican party turned out for the occasion.

Call it the Ed Day difference. Or call it a strategy of strict party discipline and loyalty, i.e., the will to power.
