Mulch Pile The Movie

Although the waterways feeding Four Corners Pond are no longer oozing a dark reddish something or other — and dead fish — concerns about contamination to the system of streams, brooks and ponds that make up the Wee Wah water basin still abound.

There’s controversy over what caused the initial fish die-off. Now comes Mulch Pile The Movie, a DIY horror movie trailer. Tuxedo resident Ed Gedvila and his friend, John Moon, from Tuxedo Park, recently hiked down from Tuxedo Lake through the streams and marshes that comprise Warwick Brook, following a trail of foam while taking pictures. The foam trail ended at the Perfect Cut mulch pile off Long Meadow Road. Continue Reading

Village Board Meets

The Sloatsburg Village Board met for the last time in March last week and provided several easter eggs of information buried in its agenda.

Upcoming community events include the Easter Egg Hunt for Village of Sloatsburg Children at St. Mary’s Villa this coming Saturday, April 7 at 1 p.m. The egg hunt is open to Sloatsburg kids from pre-school up through 5th grade. Continue Reading

The Right Man For Changing Times

Douglas Adams has finally settled into the Ramapo School District, recently moving to a house in Montebello with his wife, Lisa, who is originally from Hillburn. A year ago this May, the Ramapo Central School Board hired Adams away from a smaller school district outside Little Rock, Arkansas to lead the Ramapo Central school system. But for Adams and family, it’s a sort of a homecoming. Continue Reading
