New Fire Gear Part of Planned Public Improvements

Inside Sloatsburg Fire Department Station House 15 turnout gear hangs neatly on racks, labelled with the names of individual firefighters and ready to wear at a moment’s notice. One faded and worn tan jacket in particular has a dark patch where the heat from a training exercise seared the arm and shoulder area, rendering that set of gear unsafe and unusable. Spring Cleaning

Lower water at Mirror Lake in the Pine Grove Lakes neighborhood means spring cleaning is already underway. Usually done in late spring, with sustained warmer weather, dredging and other lake repairs are being done now. Good Cause For A Pasta Party

It’s that time of year when the Sloatsburg Fire Hall throws open its doors and becomes a popular spaghetti diner, with villagers stopping in for a little homemade sausage and meatball sauce. The Fire Hall lights up this Saturday evening for the annual Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser that benefits the Sloatsburg D.A.R.E. Program, sponsored by The Friends of Sloatsburg School.
